El auge del llamado texteo (txt) invade nuestras escuelas como nunca antes. Prácticamente todos los estudiantes tienen un celular con capacidad para enviar mensajes de texto o, como se le conoce en el leguaje tecnológico, mensajes de SMS (Short Message Service). Este tecnología resulta muy útil para la comunicación rápida, particularmente en los momentos en que no se puede hacer o recibir una llamada formalmente. Sin embargo, el uso exagerado de este método de comunicación trae consigo unos problemas, particularmente dentro de la sala de clases.
Si, como educadores, buscamos alternativas para llamar la atención de nuestros estudiantes a los temas con los que intentamos instruirlos, ¿podríamos utilizar el texteo como herramienta educativa? A continuación, les presento una lista con varios artículos que discuten el tema:

TXTALK
El uso de mensajes a través de los teléfonos celulares ha provocado la necesidad de escribir de forma conscisa; esto se ha logrado por medio de reducir las palabras a meras letras que, con el uso contínuo, llega a conocerse a veces mejor que el idioma materno entre nuestros estudiantes. Incluyo aquí algunas de esas frases en inglés:
